From Tom in Sierra Leone: Umu Kargbo – Feb. 14, 2016

Umu Kargbo had just learned to walk, when a tuberculosis infection in her spine paralyzed her legs. We had Umu put on a six-month regimen of anti-TB medications. Fortunately, the meds were effective, and Umu, now almost four-years-old, is learning to walk again, though she was very much afraid while having her photo taken. To stabilize her spine, Umu might need surgery, which will be possible only after we raise the needed funds.
